Dennis Warner
"Journey of the Soul"
One of our favorite artists at The Lighthouse is
Dennis Warner, because he seems to have it all. From a clear,
pure voice to great guitar work to well crafted songs, he is one
of the humble masters of the folk/acoustic genre.
Journey of the Soul is just that.
It takes you on a trip with songs about the basics in life: good
relationships, good people and respect and awe of nature. What
makes Dennis' music so inviting is the simplicity of it all.
On "Want Nothing" he extols the virtues of living a simple life.
On "It's My Life" he sings from the perspective of a farmer and
his love and respect not only for the land, but for the generations
that made this life possible. His poignant cover of Steve
Seskin's "Don't Laugh At Me" is also another important chapter
of this album filled with good, true songs.
It's no wonder Dennis will be making his fourth
appearance with us in our 2004 season. Not only is he everything
we said on this album, he is also the consumate live performer,
involving the audience every step of the way. You can pick
